2013 projects

It has been a long time since I wrote here, I haven't done any cosplay since I went to Japan Expo Paris. For the time being I've only three projects for this year. What's more I'll like to rewear some of my past cosplays and redo some of the first cosplays I did.

In November I went to Londres to the concert Distant World with Final Fantasy music. When I saw it I know I had to go, it really worth it.

Over this time, a little bit before the year ended, I've moved to a new flat. During the move I've thrown out some old cosplays, that's why I want to redo them now. I've also set up a sewing room, it is not finished yet but I can already work there.

And these are the cosplays I know I'm going to wear this year. For the next Barcelona Japan Weekend I'll go as Jubileena, one of the girls of Sugar Rush in the film Wreck it Ralph. A Vanellope will come with me. Probably (if I go two days to JW) I'll wear my Rei Ayanami's gothic outfit.

For Barcelona Comic Fair I'll be Icecream Princess in a very huge group from Adventure Time. It would be amazing if all people listed come this day.

Last but not least, I'll go to Barcelona Manga Fair as Cure March from Smile! Precure, with my Magical Girls as the other Pretty Cure. I'm so excited to do it!!! I've already bought my wig.

I've just open a facebook page to show you my cosplays, I've already this blog but I wanted somewhere to upload photos from the process or photoshoots, and to have them organised. I'd like to wellcome all of you.

My Little Pony - Miniphotoshoot

It has been a long time since I went to Japan Expo Paris, after this I went on my holidays and right now I'm very busy so I have no time at all.

I enjoyed the convention, it is very big and there are a lot of things to buy you couldn't find in Spain. I also liked the area assigned to deviantart users to show or sell their art. 

The worst thing about it was the weather, it rained a lot, I could only use two of the three cosplays I brought. I don't have any photo of my Chii cosplay and my wig finished wet.

We did a miniphotoshoot with My Little Pony group, we enjoyed it a lot and a lot of people wanted to take pictures with us!! I was Rainbow Dash. My ears broke because of the rain :(

Chii - Finished

I've just finished one of the cosplays I'm going to wear in Japan Expo Paris. In the last post I show you all I had done of Chii's cosplay, the skirt, gloves, tights and a usb going out of one of the ears needed to be done.

I bought the gloves and the tights in ebay, and I sew on them the red part.

The shoes are the same I used for Madoka's cosplay, I have only paintede them again. Atashi is also part of my cosplay xD

Chii - Process I

As I said earlier I’m going to Japan Expo Paris next July. I’m going to wear this Chii outfit. I have for some time now liked this version and I was really looking forward to do it. Besides, now I have the perfect shoes for it, the shoes I used for my Madoka cosplay.

Rainbow Dash - Process I

I was going to explain the processes of the three cosplays I'm working on but it was very long and I'm only going to show now the processes for Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony. As I said earlier I'll wear it for Japan Expo in Paris with a group.

So here are the thinks I've done till now:

Wig
I was looking for a wig on Ebay and all around internet a Rainbow wig, but the wigs I liked were so much expensive and the cheapest I didn't like. So I decided to dye it by myself.

I used my Echo wig (from Pandora Hearts), you can see it here without painting with the different pieces I wanted to dye separated.

Harley Quinn - Barcelona Comic Fair 2012

It's been nearly a month now since I went to the last Comic Fair in Barcelona. This year I wanted to wear a steampunkish Harley Quinn. Here are some photos that some photographers made us during the convention. Thanks to all of them!!!

I have to say that we were three people in the group, apart from me there were Galactic Goddes as Poison Ivy and Alex as The Joker. It's a shame that Alex wasn't there when we had this photos.

Sakura Kinomoto - Photoshoot

The day I wore my cosplay from Sakura we did a little photoshoot, Flower, Clow Reed and me as Sakura. I said it earlier but I want to wear again this cosplay with the wings and the pink sash. I would like my group to join me again the day I repeat with this cosplay. Photos are made by my boyfriend, thank you :)

Harley Quinn - Process

I never finish a cosplay with time, I'm always sewing since the last day before the event I'm going to wear my cosplay. I would like to show my work in progress while I was doing it, but I couldn't do both sewing and writing. So, here you have the photos I did during the process.

The top hat is done with Foamy covered with the fabric I bought for the corset. I chose red and black bridal satin for it. I'm doing a tutorial explaining how to do a top hat like this, I will put it here soon.

I used red and black dupion for the jacket and the bustle and organza to give the bustle more volumen. I don't have photos from the bustle because I did it improvising while I was sewing.

I have to admit that I'm very proud of my boots, I did them in a night. I used black and white imitation leather and golden click buttons.

The gun is the same I used the last year for Harley Quinn from Arkham Asylumm game painted in gold.

Finally, the wig is a medium size wig with two ponytails. I would like to do them bigger but I didn't have more time to style it.

Madoka Kaname - Photoshoot

Projects 2012

I'm still preparing the photos from Madoka and Sakura, to upload here some of them. While I'm doing it, I show you my next cosplays.

Comic Fair Barcelona

I'll go as Harley Quinn with a group of Batman villains. We wanted to do a Steampunk outfit and we chose doing something like this fanart.

Japan Expo Paris:

It is the first time I'll go to Japan Expo in Paris. Everybody tells me very good things about it, so I'm looking foward to go. These are the cosplays I'll do for that convention:

- Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony human version, I haven't decided yet my outfit.

- Rikku from FFX - I have the fabrics at home since the last year, I think I have to do it.

I want to do one more, but I'm not sure which would be. I would like to wear again the last cosplay of Sakura that I did, but I think it would be hot. So maybe I'll wear a Sakura, Kobato or Madoka cosplay. This Madoka:

Sakura Kinomoto - Process II

Japan Weekend of Barcelona is already over and you would think that this entry doesn't make any sense. In fact, it doesn't make any sense, but I wanted to show my process in Sakura's cosplay. Since the last week I was very busy I show you now some photos I made when it was in process.

This is my hat, it was more difficult to make than expected, I had to make it some of them. Finally I managed to make it.

And this is the top of the dress almost finished, only the bells are left. I knew from the start how I wanted to make the top, it is composted of two pieces. Dark purple piece was made like a normal fitted shirt and the other one was made with a bodice pattern cutting the edges like triangles.

Although I've already worn this cosplay it has some things left and probably I'll continue doing it some day.

Sakura Kinomoto - Process I

I've started doing my Sakura's outfit, too late... I don't know if I would wear it for the Japan Weekend in Barcelona (10th of march).

Now I've done only the skirt. I bought some black-purple organza to put over the purple skirt, but I like the purple fabric alone. I will probably use the organza fabric to cover the white petticoat.

I tried doing the hat but it was a fail, I have to try it again!! ^^'

Sakura Kinomoto Project

Some days ago I received a Sakura Kinomoto's wig, I bought it from a friend of mine and it is really nice, I love it!!!

This year I want to cosplay Sakura. It was the first cosplay I did, the pink dress of the movie The sealed card. Now I want to cosplay Sakura again, I don't care if it is Sakura from cardcaptor, tsubasa or both!! I like outfits from the two series.

I have several outfits in mind, from tsubasa I'll do for sure the dress she is wearing in the cover of the 9 volume.

This is the other one, looking for the image on the internet I've seen a lot of Sakuras that I like. Clamp's desings are lovely!
